EMBASSY OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA, TRIPOLI

The baby was found abandoned on a street in Tripoli, Libya, on July 12, 2023. The Embassy was notified of the baby's discovery and immediately took custody of the child. The Embassy is currently searching for the baby's mother, but so far, no leads have been found. In the meantime, the Embassy is providing the baby with food, clothing, and medical care.

Amb. Kabiru Musa, the Nigerian Ambassador to Libya, has said that the Embassy is committed to finding the baby's mother and reuniting her with her child. He has also said that the Embassy will provide the baby with a safe and loving home until the mother is found.

The search for the baby's mother is ongoing, and the Embassy is hopeful that she will be found soon. In the meantime, the Embassy is providing the baby with the best possible care.
