First day at a 3-day training (4th -6th July 2023) organized by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) on Migrants in Countries in Crisis (MICIC) held in Tunis, Tunisia.

Mission secured the release of 40 Nigerian detainees today. Among them are 34 women and 6 men. Mission will offer them temporary shelter and feeding before arrangements are made for their repatriation by IOM. The Nigerians were detained by Libyan authorities for immigration offences. However, they were freed after the intervention of the embassy.

For effective functioning of the Secretariat of the Nigerian Community in Tripoli, the Mission donated additional bedding and sundry items to the Secretariat on Sunday 25th June 2023. The items were handed over to the Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the Community Mr. Moses Innocent Odigie by the Changé D' Affairs, Amb. Kabiru Musa. The Mission will continue to live up to its obligations to the community by providing necessary assistance wherever necessary.ur Heading Text Here

The Federal Government, with the assistance of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), repatriated 102 more Nigerian irregular migrants who had been released from Libyan prison facilities on Tuesday.
